Hero Lab is worse, as it only supports the core and doesn't allow me to add missing choices as customizations. I can't simply treat the character as an NPC and fill in arbitrary values. The major problem with Autarkis' spreadsheet is that it's out of date - it doesn't have any of the content from Unwired, Augmentation, or Runner's Companion, and working around those problems can be a pain. It automatically calculates the cost of attributes, skills, cyberware, gear, spells and complex forms, and everything else you need to make a runner. The Build Point system for Shadowrun is complicated, and involves tracking and manipulating a lot of numbers. This is not a character sheet - it's a character creation tool.
